Deadly Rhythm @ Plan B, London- 29th Jan 2010
Line Up:
Martyn, 2562, Jackmaster, Falty DL, Moxie, Lego, Deadly Rhythm Soundsystem
Celebrating the diverse state of bass music in 2010, Deadly Rhythm are bringing together four of the most interesting, genre blurring DJ's from across the world for their january session.
First we welcome one of the biggest stars of 2009, Martyn. His incredible 'Great Lengths' LP was easily one of the most interesting artist albums of the year, featuring massive hits 'Elden Street' and 'Vancouver,' and firmly established Martyn as a household name. His DJ Sets are also incredible, moving between techno, dubstep and drum and bass seamlessly (Just check out his Sonar '09 Set). Being asked to mix the Fabric 50 Mix CD is a true testament to his cross over style and promises to be one of the most exciting contributions to the series.
2562 also occupies the grey area between techno and dubstep and also released an incredible album entitled 'Unbalance' last year. A cracking Fact Magazine Mix and series of sold-out shows in London promises his appearance at Deadly Rhythm to be something special!
Straight out of New York Falty DL producers a blend of house and skipping garage that has seen him gain support from the likes of Mary Anne Hobbs and Jamie Vex'd and incredible releases on Planet Mu and Ramp Records. Definitely a future star just take a listen to the 'Bravery EP!'
Jackmaster is best known as the tastemaker behind Dressed to Sweat Records and resident DJ at Glasgow's Numbers parties. His sets blend funky, dubstep and techno and as those who saw him at FWD a few months ago will testify they are definitely a tear-out affair!
Support from London's finest Moxie, Lego and the Deadly Rhythm Soundsystem.
